The first of the three Boeing buildings – 1000 Redstone Gateway — is now open with the other two buildings still under construction. The three buildings represent 363,000 square feet, with 500 employees housed in the first building, 400 in the second and 500 in the third. Two of the buildings – the first and third – will provide office space for Boeing employees working on NASA’s Space Launch System. The second building will be the company’s new regional headquarters, and will include key programs and functions, defense support, and research and technology efforts.

The artwork is comprised of a 25-foot tall piece (“Trajectory”), a 24-foot wide component (“Bridge”) and 5 smaller components or “Molecules”.   Breaking Earth’s Bond is the tallest sculpture available for viewing by the public in Huntsville.  Pakker’s sculptures have been collected by Microsoft, University of Pennsylvania, The Boeing Company, municipalities and international private collectors.

The recently signed development agreement will result in 363,000 square feet of office space in a three-building complex. Boeing is scheduled to occupy the first building, 1000 Redstone Gateway, in spring 2013; construction will begin on the second and third buildings, 1100 Redstone Gateway and 1200 Redstone Gateway, by the end of the year and be completed by spring 2014.
